Gardening

The late afternoon and evening are our favorite times to garden in the backyard. Today we decided to join Grandma outside to tend to the much-neglected planters. While I worked on the roses, Grandma pulled weeds, and the girls...well, they were "helping" a whole lot. Wink, wink. ;)

What was quite possibly the cutest thing on earth however, was that after a few minutes of seeing Grandma with her gloves and tools, Juliana rushed back inside to get her own gloves...um, oven mitts if you will, along with the apron and matching potholder. Mia, seeing Juliana having her apron tied on by me as she pulled her mitts on, rushed past us as well. You know where this is heading...

So there were my girls, making a mess gardening alongside Grandma, in their aprons and oven mitts. And before I could grab the camera to get a few shots of BOTH of them, Daddy was pulling out their gardening bags from the shed and the aprons and mitts were flying off. Sigh. I managed to catch a few of Mia...she never once took off her apron while gardening. In fact, not even after dinner when she removed the shirt, pants, shoes, and socks, leaving only her cute panties and the apron, while adding to the ensemble my highest patent leather taupe heels. Rolling my eyes here...

And one last one of my brown-eyed girl...

If only you could have seen her with the oven mitts and apron trying to pull weeds...just too cute for words.
