Prayers Needed

Many of you have asked me how my dear friend Devon is doing. Today I am asking you all for prayers. Devon went into the hospital on Wednesday evening due to some cramping and contractions and after a day and a half of IV magnesium sulfate, things settled down and she was discharged to go home...only to find herself back in hospital later that night for more complications.

Devon is 21 weeks pregnant and three weeks away from the point of viability at 24 weeks, where a baby born at this gestation has about a 50% chance of survival. For a frame of reference, Juliana and Mia were born at 27 weeks. Devon's boys were born at 23 weeks and lived only a few days. As you can see, it is a critical time right now and while I have every confidence that she will make it to 24 weeks, we want this pregnancy to go MUCH further than that. Please, please, please...keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If you are part of a prayer chain, please include her in your prayers. Some specific prayers...

Pray for Devon and Rob...that they feel Him holding them ever so close through this.

Pray for Devon...that peace washes over her body and raises her spirits.

...that her uterus remains calm and free from infection, clots, or other complications and that her cervix remains unchanged.

Pray for their sweet baby girl...that she continues to thrive, grow, and develop inside of Devon's womb for many more weeks and months.

Pray for Riley Belle, Devon and Rob's little girl, who is missing her mommy so very much and is having to be shuffled a bit between family and friends.

Thank you all...and much love to Devon and her family.
